Our Paediatric First Aid courses are specifically designed for anyone working — or preparing to work — in childcare settings. The training fully meets Ofsted’s First Aid requirements for:

Course Content – Paediatric First Aid Training

This comprehensive course covers the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond confidently to a wide range of childhood emergencies, including:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a Paediatric First Aider

  • Assessing an emergency situation

  • Dealing with an unresponsive infant or child

  • CPR (infant and child)

  • Choking management

  • Head and spinal injuries

  • Fractures, dislocations, and sprains

  • Anaphylaxis and allergic reactions

  • Recognising and responding to meningitis

  • Asthma attacks

  • Seizures (including febrile convulsions)

  • Diabetic emergencies

  • Poisoning incidents

  • Burns and scalds

  • Electric shock injuries

  • Wounds, bleeding, and shock

  • Eye, ear, and nose conditions

  • Bites and stings

  • Hypothermia, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke
