Our Paediatric First Aid courses are specifically designed for anyone working — or preparing to work — in childcare settings. The training fully meets Ofsted’s First Aid requirements for:

It is aligned with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2014) and the Childcare Register, ensuring you meet the legal standards while gaining the confidence and skills to respond effectively in an emergency involving babies and children.

Course Content – Paediatric First Aid Training
This comprehensive course covers the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond confidently to a wide range of childhood emergencies, including:
Roles and responsibilities of a Paediatric First Aider
Assessing an emergency situation
Dealing with an unresponsive infant or child
CPR (infant and child)
Choking management
Head and spinal injuries
Fractures, dislocations, and sprains
Anaphylaxis and allergic reactions
Recognising and responding to meningitis
Asthma attacks
Seizures (including febrile convulsions)
Diabetic emergencies
Poisoning incidents
Burns and scalds
Electric shock injuries
Wounds, bleeding, and shock
Eye, ear, and nose conditions
Bites and stings
Hypothermia, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke
