This qualification is designed for individuals who have a specific interest or responsibility in providing Basic Life Support (BLS) and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in the event of an emergency.

Course Overview

Learners will gain the knowledge and practical skills to:

• Recognise and manage an unresponsive casualty

• Perform safe and effective CPR

• Correctly use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

• Understand the chain of survival and how early defibrillation saves lives
