Emergency First Aid at Work Course
Prerequisites: None
Age requirement: Learner must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training.
Course duration: 1 day
Course details: This course is designed to meet the first aid requirements of a low risk working environment such as offices, shops, food outlets etc. This means although the course is comprehensive it may not be suitable for high risk workplaces and a full First Aid at Work qualification may be more appropriate. The Emergency First Aid course can be provided at any suitable location, or you can attend training at our training venue.
This 1-day course is valid for 3 years and will cover:
Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
First aid kit information and equipment
Aims and priorities of first aid
Resuscitation for the adult casualty including the use of a Defibrillator
The recovery position
Choking
Minor, major bleeding and shock
Seizures
Common medical complaints
The qualification will allow you to be a nominated first aider in your workplace.
Course title and qualification: Qualsafe Awards Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work

Exam information: ongoing practical assessment throughout the course and a multiple choice exam
Materials required:
100% attendance required
Please bring photographic identification with you such as a driving licence or passport
