First Aid at Work
Written by experienced first-aid trainers this online first aid at work course is flexible, accessible and can be completed in 4 to 5 hours. It can be used as part of a blended-learning approach and can replace 1 day of the 3 day first aid at work qualification.
This online training course is designed to give learners the opportunity to undertake online first-aid training and go on to achieve the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF).

Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first-aider
As well as equipment use, casualty treatment, and record keeping
Assessing an incident
Learn about scene and primary surveys, and when to call for help
Managing an unresponsive casualty
Explore life support techniques including CPR, AED use and seizure response
Recognising and assisting a choking casualty
Recognise and treat choking casualties, blocked airways, and hypoxia effectively
Managing a casualty – external bleeding and shock
Treatments for wounds, bleeding, circulatory system and hypovolaemic shock
Managing a casualty – minor injury
Treat minor injuries including cuts, burns, splinters, contusions, and nosebleeds
Conducting a secondary survey
Learn effective casualty communication, key information gathering, and conducting secondary surveys
Administering first aid to a casualty with injuries
Including injuries to bones, head, the spine, chest, burns or eye injuries, sudden poisoning or anaphylaxis, or a suspected major illness
